Terms of Service
Effective September 2, 2026
These terms cover your use of MyLink.is as a whole - your account, the page we host for you, and everything you put on it. They are the agreement between you and MyLink.is, and they apply from the moment you create an account.
If your page collects anything from a visitor — a booking, a subscriber, a download, a sale — the Terms for Data You Collect add to these rather than replace them. Where the two say different things about that data, those terms are the ones that govern it.
1. What MyLink.is Does
MyLink.is hosts one public page for you at mylink.is/yourname. You decide what goes on it - links, text, images, a booking calendar, a file to download, a newsletter signup form - and we serve it to anyone who visits that address.
The page is public by design. It has no password and no access control, so anything you put on it can be read, copied, indexed by search engines and shared by anyone who finds it. Publish accordingly: this is a page on the open web, and that is the whole point of it.
"We" is Kanan Digital Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17438947, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. That is the company you are agreeing with, and the one to name on anything formal. Section 6 has the address to send it to.
2. Your Account
- One account belongs to one person or one organisation. Whoever controls the email address on it controls the account, which is why keeping that address current matters more than it looks.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by anyone you share access with. We cannot tell the difference.
- You must be at least 16 to have an account. We have no way to obtain or verify a parent's consent, so we do not accept accounts from people too young to give that consent themselves.
- You must be at least 18 to take money — to sell anything, or to charge for a booking or a download. That is not our threshold: connecting an account to receive payments means entering an agreement with our payment provider, and they do not contract with minors.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account. Your account keeps a security log of sign-ins and changes, which is there to help you answer that question.
- Some usernames are reserved for the site's own pages. We may also reclaim a username that is being used to impersonate someone - see section 4.
3. Your Content, and Who Owns It
You own what you publish. Nothing here transfers ownership of it to us.
Hosting it does require your permission, because storing a copy and showing it to visitors is exactly what copyright otherwise reserves to you. So you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display your content - for the single purpose of operating the service and no other. We do not sell it, license it onward, use it to advertise, or use it to train models.
That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except that copies may survive briefly in backups and in caches we do not control, such as a search engine's.
You confirm that you have the rights to everything you publish here, including images and files. If someone tells us that you do not, we will act on section 5.
4. Acceptable Use
This is the section with teeth. You may not use MyLink.is to publish, host, link to, or distribute any of the following:
- Illegal content - anything unlawful where you are or where your visitors are.
- Sexual content involving children. There is no threshold, no warning and no appeal for this one. We remove it, we preserve what the authorities need, and we report it.
- Fraud and deceptive schemes - fake shops, counterfeit goods, investment and crypto schemes, anything whose purpose is to take money under a false description.
- Phishing - pages or links designed to collect passwords, payment details or personal data by pretending to be someone else. A link-in-bio page is a convenient disguise for this, which is why we look for it.
- Impersonation - passing yourself off as another person, business or organisation. Parody and commentary are fine when it is clear to an ordinary visitor that is what they are.
- Incitement to violence - threatening people, calling for harm, or celebrating it to encourage more.
- Malware - hosting or linking to software intended to damage a device, harvest data, or run without the visitor's knowledge.
- Harassment - targeting a person or a group with abuse, or publishing someone's private information so that others can.
You also may not attack the service itself: no probing it for weaknesses without our written agreement, no scraping it at a scale that degrades it for others, no evading a suspension by opening another account, and no using it to send bulk unsolicited email.
These rules cover what you point at, not only what you upload. A file behind a download link and the destination of an outbound link are both part of your page for this purpose. A page whose only content is a link to a phishing site is a phishing page.
5. What We Do When These Rules Are Broken
Review is done by a person. We are a small team, so we would rather describe the process honestly than promise a scale of moderation we do not have.
- We investigate reports we receive and problems we notice ourselves, and we keep a record of what the page contained at the time - because content can be edited away between a report and a review.
- We respond in proportion: removing a single link, taking the page offline, or suspending the account.
- Some things we act on immediately, without warning you first - child sexual abuse material, credible threats of violence, phishing, and malware. Warning first would leave real harm running while we waited.
- We tell you what we did and why, and you can reply. We get things wrong, and a suspension we cannot reverse would be a worse policy than one we can.
- Repeat breaches end the account. A first mistake that you fix is not the same as a pattern, and we treat them differently.
A suspended page stops being served to visitors. It is not deleted, and you keep the ability to sign in and export your own data, because losing your work should not be part of the penalty for something you may not have done.
6. Reporting Something
If you find a page here that breaks section 4, use the Report this page link in the footer of that page. You do not need an account to report something, and you do not need to be the person affected.
If you would rather not use the form - you are reporting on someone else's behalf, you are sending a legal notice, or you have something to attach - email abuse@mylink.is. Tell us the address of the page and what is wrong with it. If you are reporting content that infringes your copyright, say what the work is and confirm that you hold the rights to it.
Either route reaches a person rather than a queue, so we will not promise a response time we cannot keep. We read reports in the order they arrive and act on the severe categories in section 5 first.
That address is also our point of contact for anyone who needs to reach us about content on this service in an official capacity — a regulator, an authority, or anyone acting on a legal notice. It is monitored by a person and messages in English reach us fastest.
7. Availability
MyLink.is is in public beta. We make no promise about uptime, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. We will give reasonable notice before discontinuing something you depend on, where we can.
The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. Keep your own copy of anything you would not want to lose - your subscriber list exports in particular.
8. Paying for Pro
MyLink.is has a free plan and a paid one. The free plan is not a trial: it has no end date, and nothing here obliges you to ever pay us.
- What it costs is what the pricing page says when you subscribe, monthly or yearly, in US dollars. That price is what you keep paying; if we change it, the change applies from your next renewal and we will tell you before it does.
- It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. A free trial takes a card at the start so the subscription can continue without a second visit — cancel before the trial ends and nothing is charged.
- Cancelling is done from your plan page in the studio, which opens the billing portal our payment provider runs. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the period you have already paid for runs to its end and is not pro-rated.
- Not paying switches the paid features off and deletes nothing. Products, prices and experiments stay as you left them, every page you have built stays live and editable, and it all comes back when you resubscribe.
If you are a consumer in the UK, you have 14 days from subscribing to change your mind and get your money back, and asking us through the support form is enough to exercise it. Because the service starts immediately, we may keep a proportionate amount for the days you had it. Outside the UK the same 14 days are offered as our own policy rather than as a legal right, and nothing here takes away a stronger right your own country gives you.
9. Tax
On your Pro subscription, we are the seller. Prices are shown in US dollars, and the price you see is the price you pay: where we are required to charge sales tax, VAT or GST, it is included in that price rather than added to it at checkout. If you are a business with a VAT or tax registration number, give it to us when you subscribe so your invoice is issued correctly.
On what you sell, you are the seller and the tax is yours: registering where you are required to, charging what you are required to charge, and filing it. We do not calculate it, collect it or remit it for you, and the price you set on a product is the price a buyer pays. If you are not sure whether that applies to you, it is worth asking an accountant before your first sale rather than after your hundredth.
10. Buying and Selling on Someone's Page
A profile owner can sell a product, a file, or a paid appointment from their page. When they do, that owner is the seller of record and the sale is between them and the buyer. The goods, the file, the appointment, the description and the price are theirs, and the money goes to their own account with our payment provider rather than to us. We are not a party to it, we take no share of it, and we never hold the money.
If you bought something: refunds, faulty goods, something that never arrived, or anything else about what you paid for, is the seller's to answer, and their page is where to reach them. Your own consumer rights apply against them exactly as they would against any other seller — including, in many countries, a right to change your mind about a digital file that you may be asked to waive before it is delivered. If you cannot reach a seller at all, tell us; we cannot refund you, but a seller who has taken money and disappeared is breaking section 4 and we will act on it.
If you are selling: you are responsible for describing honestly what you sell, for delivering it, for handling refunds, and for whatever consumer, tax and licensing law applies where you and your buyers are. You also accept our payment provider's own terms when you connect an account to take money.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for content published by other people using the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited - which, depending on where you live, may include liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and for fraud.
12. Ending the Agreement
You can stop at any time, and both controls are in the studio: delete a page to remove it and everything it collected, or close the account to remove all of them, the account itself, and any Pro subscription with it. Neither can be undone. We may end the agreement for a breach of section 4, or if we discontinue the service.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date before they take effect.
14. Which Law Applies
These terms do not pick one country's law or one country's courts. While MyLink.is is in beta, the ordinary rules decide that, and for most people those rules point at the place they live.
If you use MyLink.is as a consumer, nothing here takes away the protections your own country's law gives you, or your right to bring a claim where you live. Where anything in these terms conflicts with those protections, the protections win.
