Give away or sell a file

Hand over a PDF in exchange for an email address, or charge for it — the same row does both.

Upload the file

Download holds one file per page, up to 10MB. That covers a guide, a checklist, a preset pack, a template, a sample — the things a link in bio is actually good at giving away.

The Download section with the uploaded file named, a terms checkbox, an enable switch and a Save button, above a panel listing the addresses collected.
Enable downloads shows every download button on your page. Like the other tools, this saves live rather than waiting for Publish.

For anything bigger, host it where large files belong and use a plain web address instead. A lead magnet that takes a minute to arrive on mobile data is a lead magnet people abandon.

Put it on your page

Add a download row in Links. The visitor gives an email address and the file is released to that address, rather than sitting on a public URL anybody can forward.

That trade is the whole point of the feature: the file is the payment for the address. So the file has to be worth an address. A page of something genuinely useful beats a brochure every time.

See who claimed it

Everybody who claims the file appears here, and that list is yours to export.

The Leads panel listing each person who claimed the file with their email address and the date, and an export control.
This is a separate list from your newsletter subscribers, and keeping them apart is deliberate.

Somebody who wanted your checklist has not agreed to receive your emails. If you want them on the mailing list, ask them — the Newsletter is where that consent is recorded.

Charge for it instead

The same row can carry a price instead of asking for an address. The visitor pays at checkout and the file is released once the payment is confirmed, on a link that is unguessable and issued per buyer — so it is not something anybody who did not pay can find.

MyLink.is takes no cut of what you charge.

Replacing the file later

You can replace the file at any time, and everybody who downloads from then on gets the new version.

Nobody who already has the old one is re-sent anything. The file has left, and there is no way to pull it back. So for a version two of something you have been giving away for months, the honest route is to email your existing list yourself.
